What Start Labs is

Start Labs is a platform for building web applications. You describe what you want, we compose it from pre-built modules and deploy it for you. You can edit your app through a chat interface.

Your account

  • You must provide accurate information when signing up.
  • You are responsible for your account security.
  • One person per account. No sharing accounts.

Your apps

  • You own your code. Apps built on Start Labs are yours. The source code is MIT-licensed.
  • You can export anytime. Paid plans include code export. Download your code and deploy it anywhere.
  • We host it for you. While your app is on our platform, we handle hosting, databases, and infrastructure.
  • Free tier limits apply. Free apps expire after 7 days of inactivity. Sign up and upgrade to keep them permanently.

Acceptable use

Don't use Start Labs to:

  • Build apps that are illegal in your jurisdiction.
  • Send spam or abuse other users.
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits or rate limiting.
  • Use automated scripts to generate apps at scale without permission.

Billing

  • Paid plans are billed monthly or annually via Stripe.
  • You can cancel anytime. Access continues until the end of the billing period.
  • No refunds for partial months, but we're reasonable — contact us if something's wrong.

Liability

Start Labs is provided "as is." We do our best to keep your apps running, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. We are not liable for data loss on free tier apps that expire.

Changes

We may update these terms. We'll notify you 30 days in advance of material changes via email.
